4 min read670 words
Time: 15–20 minutes
This exercise is designed to give you a practical framework you can use immediately in your work.
Step 1—Choose a Real Project
Pick a project you are currently working on, or one you have recently completed. It should be something with enough substance to generate a decent task list — a client deliverable, a team initiative, a personal project, or an academic assignment. The more real it is, the more useful this exercise will be.
What is the project? What is the goal?

This is the kind of thinking that, with practice, becomes second nature. The goal is not to fill in a matrix every time you sit down to work. The goal is to internalise the habit of asking: What kind of task is this? Who is best placed to do it? How should we work together?
