Choose Your Capstone Project
Now it's your turn. For your capstone, you'll apply the full READY Method to a project of your choosing. Pick one of the four categories below — whichever is closest to work you actually do or would genuinely find useful.
Category 1: Communication
Create a professional presentation or report.
Example projects:
- A quarterly business review presentation for senior stakeholders
- A project proposal or business case for a new initiative
- An internal communications piece (change management update, strategy summary, team briefing)
- A client-facing report summarising research findings or project outcomes
Category 2: Research
Analyse a topic and produce a structured briefing.
Example projects:
- A competitive landscape analysis for your industry or a specific market segment
- A technology evaluation comparing three tools or platforms for a specific use case
- A policy briefing summarising recent regulatory changes and their implications
- A literature review on a professional development topic relevant to your role
Category 3: Creative
Develop a content series.
Example projects:
- A five-part blog series on a topic in your professional domain
- A social media campaign (10-15 posts across platforms) for a product, event, or initiative
- A story outline or narrative arc for an internal brand campaign
- A podcast episode plan — including research notes, interview questions, and a structured script
Category 4: Learning
Build a structured study guide or tutorial.
Example projects:
- A beginner's guide to a technical skill relevant to your field
- A training module for onboarding new team members to a specific process
- A structured study plan for a professional certification
- A tutorial that teaches a complex concept through progressive examples
Capstone Requirements
Regardless of which category you choose, your project must meet these requirements:
-
Apply all five READY stages. Don't skip any. Your READY journal (see deliverables) should demonstrate that you worked through each stage deliberately.
-
Include a delegation plan. Before you start prompting, document which parts of the task you're delegating to AI, which mode you're using (Automate, Collaborate, or Orchestrate), and why.
-
Iterate at least twice with AI. Your first AI output should not be your final AI output. Show at least two rounds of the Describe-Determine loop — evaluate the output, identify what needs to change, and send it back with specific instructions.
-
Include a transparency statement. Appropriate to the context of your project, write a brief statement that honestly describes how AI was used and what role you played.
-
Produce something genuinely useful. The best capstone projects are ones you'd actually use. Pick a topic that matters to you professionally.
